The End of the Line…….
I could have added “and one empty chair….”

John Orchard has been a good family friend to all the Bing Siblings. Apart from being one of the best Local Historians in Marlborough, John has a keen interest in Choo Choo trains and helps at the Riverside railway. John kindly showed me around the workshops where a lot of volunteers work and play with their trains- its a bit like The Mens Shed but with a railway theme instead. You can see from the photos they have an extensive work shop as well. In the weekends you can go to Brayshaw Heritage Park for train rides. Here are a few snapshots I took They are a great bunch of guys.

The End of the Line shot is superb, Chris. It has everything – great detail, depth of field, central and broader subject matter. And B & W really enhances the mood. Well done!

Thanks Jon, long time no hear. Great to see you are on the right side of the tracks!
End of the line… what a wonderful image Chris…I like the light & shadows of the black & white …. Great work
Thanks Barry.
We all know what its like being near the end of the line?
Hope you are well and behaving yourself.
I also love the depth in this shot Chris. You really captured it well. Black and white made it so much better also!
Nik software , silver effex helps alot!
Your photos remind me all the wonderful we had in Blenheim Bradshaw Park.
Especially the train ride.
High light of our trip 🤩
Thanks Sally, it was a great day.
Hi Chris, This is a lovely image of these guys that has an immediate sense of comfort, relaxation and even intimacy, and then a bit of a question about what lies beyond this scene. That mix really holds my attention. The b&w treatment is perfect; I looked at the other images – especially the other one of the guys – and got lost in the colour. And I do agree about different metaphors that you can pick up on as you gaze at the photo… especially that chair!
For perfection’s sake I would crop a little bit in from each edge to remove the bit of bench on the left and whatever that is down at the bottom right corner. To me they intruded a bit – a matter of personal taste.
This one’s a winner 🙂 …. long live Silver Efex.
Cheers
Bill
